Assortment of items reflecting Carl Adkins' years teaching and coaching tennis at Buena Vista College and Buena Vista University. He was also faculty sponsor of Nu Delta chapter of Sigma Tau Delta and has records from that organization. Additionally, he also edited and published a group of lectures that were sponsored by this group. This collection also contains a book of his poetry.

Content Description A copy of Annual Lectures on Contemporary Literature: 1964-1973 by Buena Vista College Faculty, a series sponsored by Du [sic] [i.e. Nu] Delta chapter, Sigma Tau Delta, Volume I, is included. Although this was not in Dr. Adkins' papers, he was editor of this volume, and an extra copy has been added here. Featured writers are Albert Hirsch, Robert A. Barnett, Stanley V. Longman, Darrel J.
