Phillips, Merle Garton, 1907-2018

The Marjorie Holmes papers include correspondence, manuscripts, publisher information, drafts, proofs, galleys, and clippings belonging to the writer Marjorie Holmes. An item inventory was prepared by a previous processor and is available in the front of Box 1.

This scrapbook includes greeting cards and postcards, invitations and programs related to college and church events, many news clippings from local newspapers and from the college newspaper, The TACK, Buena Vista College cheers, and other records of early student life at BVC.

Letters and notes from a wide variety of people that Holmes corresponded with. This series also includes a list of records that are possessed by the University of Iowa Special Collections and Archives. Additionally, there is correspondence with individuals in Nigeria and Mozambique, as well as with her Iowa relatives.
