Reagan, Ronald W., 1981-1993

Briscoe invited Reagan to campus on several occasions, one of which was the dedication of the Harold Walter Siebens School of Business, Siebens Forum, but Reagan never accepted. He also wrote the president about a BV alum, Rosemary Shaw Sackett, who was nominated for the Southern District of Iowa Federal Judgeship. Also included in this file are clippings about Reagan, placecards of noteable people that Briscoe may have taken following an important dinner (Merv Griffin and George Will among them). Drafts and a final document, Politician Postscript, is included. While undated, it may have been part of an invitation to ask Reagan to come to Storm Lake in 1983. The Buena Vista County Pork Producers invited Reagan to attend a function in 1983, and this booklet is also included in the file.
