Historical note

The library created postcards as a promotional tool for the Plunge in 2013-2014. The Plunge is an event where campus and community departments set up booths to advertise ways students can become involved in campus life. The library thought it would be good public relations to have a presence there. They made some fun postcards so students could send a note to someone they were thinking about. Trouble was, students didn't know how to address the postcards! They don't use conventional mail.

The posters from 2014 were to advertise a contest where the winner would gain access to a private study space (a vacant office) during finals week.

Other posters have been used to advertise work-study positions in the library.

Library staff wrote new words to Christmas carols in 2011. Human Resources sponsored an event where departments were encouraged to produce skits or songs to highlight the season.
