The Vista View covered all manner of campus news: reminders of events and pay periods, sports news, job listings, and even classified ads. It served as a means of keeping all faculty and staff in contact with important campus information.
The majority of issues were printed on goldenrod-colored paper. Sometime during 1996, the publication switched to white paper and a new banner.

History
Vista View served as the campus newsletter for faculty and staff of Buena Vista College. On May 15, 1995, the newsletter reflected the name change to Buena Vista University. It was published on Monday and Thursday by the Office of College Relations and later by the Office of University Relations.
