Content Description
This small collection is comprised of a written proposal for improvements to the Buena Vista College Psychology Department in 1975, authored by Crawford, Roger Chaffin, and Bill Madsen and a list of suggested texts to be used in the program. There are several articles authored or co authored by Crawford, including a drafted essay on women in academia, three journal articles on fear and avoidance psychology expiraments, and an article covering the story of Peg Mullen.

Biographical Note
Dr. Mary Crawford received her B.S. from Westchester State University in Pennsylvania and her MA/PhD from the University of Delaware. Prior to arriving at Buena Vista, Crawford taught psychology at the University of Illinois.
Crawford joined the Buena Vista College psychology department as a professor of psychology alongside her husband, Dr. Roger Chaffin, in 1974. She remained at Buena Vista until 1978.
