This collection contains a letter from T.R. Brader of the Hall of Jewel Lodge No. 309 to G.A. Benson inviting the members of Pomegranite [sic] Lodge #408 in Alta to the cornerstone laying of Victoy Hall.

Historical Note

Victory Hall was built as a living memorial to the WWI dead of Buena Vista County. It was the only WWI memorial in the county. The cornerstone was laid on November 11, 1919. The ceremony was directed by Masonic Grand Lodge of Iowa. Construction was completed in 1920.
