Biographical / Historical
The Faculty Dames organization was a women's group that formed in 1943, with the purpose of promoting general good will. Group membership was limited to female faculty and administration members, and to the wives of male faculty and administration members. This organization discontinued activities around 2000.
Group activities included welcoming receptions for faculty and students, charity luncheons and dinners, and arts and crafts.
The organization also established the Leonard and Louise Martz Scholarship in 1986, with the annual recipient being a non-traditional student.
