Biographical / Historical
The BVU Women created the Leonard and Louise Martz Scholarship with a donation in 1986. The scholarship is awarded annually to a non-traditional student, and continues to date.
Dr. Marilyn Wikstrom was a professor of education at BVC. In 1991, Dr. Wikstrom received the George Wythe Award for excellence in teaching, which granted her the opportunity to experience a sabbatical. Dr. Wikstrom chose to spend a semester teaching at Sheldon Jackson College, in Sitka, Alaska.
