Business and the liberal arts, 1943-1987, bulk: 1986-1987

In the early 1980s, Briscoe collected articles and speeches, book chapters, conference papers, and clippings that discussed the value of a liberal arts/humanities background in the business world. A few years later, he corresponded with major corporations asking the heads of companies to share their thoughts on the subject. Some leaders sent copies of speeches they had made; others sent company information that discussed such values.
