Historical Note
Clark Mollenhoff, Marjorie Holmes, James B. Christiansen, and William Wesselink all received honorary degrees in 1976. They were also speakers during the weekend's festivities. Mr. Mollenhoff was an Iowa native and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist; Marjorie Holmes attended BV and was a noted author. Christiansen and Wesselink were professors at BV.
